My name is Jeff, and I have a proposal for a virtual events involving 3D printing for March. It will be held during a virtual event called Makers Play!

Makers Play is a hybrid virtual indie game and makerspace showcase born of passionate creators looking to interactively unite content with enthusiasts. Tune in March 2021 for indie games, alt control projects, maker workshops, Q&A, and more.

Proposed Ideas

3D Printer Olympics

Does your printer have what it takes to beat all? Prove it!

• 3D Printer owners are invited to participate in different printing competitions.
• The competition itself will be held the week of the virtual event
• All 3D printers participating are recorded while printing, and then uploaded as a submission.
• Different categories to include Quality, Overhangs, and more. Greatest of all SPEED (While maintaining quality).
• Several short events (Like the speed event) could be live narrated after submissions are complied.

What I'm looking for/need help with!

• Need a panel to help plan competition categories and judging criteria.
  • Should we have size restrictions? Like boxing weight classes?
  • Should be willing to Zoom 2-3 times between now and the event for Brainstorming/Planning sessions.
• Ideas on displaying video submissions.
• What stl models do we use?
• Need a judging panel from a diverse background and experience levels to help determine winners!
